Obituary for Patrick "Pat" Donnelly

Patrick "Pat" Donnelly
Pat Donnelly
April 6 1936 - April 26 2018
Surrounded by his family, very peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital. Pat lived an awesome life! Born in Sheen the baby boy of Bruce and Hortense’s 12 kids. He was definitely not the runt of the litter! He went to work with his dad in their family business before venturing onto his own. Being a people person, sales was in his blood. He made a living and raised his family from Killaloe to Pembroke with many adventures along the way. His claim to fame was being the last living passenger of the S.S Pontiac :) He put on a lot of miles, especially to Florida - with another great trip this year. Family and faith were of the utmost importance to him, he was a risk taker, and did what he wanted with life. With his generous soul, you never wanted for anything with Pat and you never left hungry or thirsty at their place. Lilly (Ryan), the love of his life for 63 years, misses him so very much as do his 5 kids, Colleen (Bob) Madill, Tom (Debbie) Donnelly, Nancy Kutschke, Lisa (Bill) Poirier, Julie Pilatzke; his grandkids, Samantha, Stephanie, J.D, Jennifer, Cathy, Meagan, Jodie, Tiffany, Liam, Ellie, Riley, Ruby, Ryan, and Kasey; 10 great grandkids… so far! He is hanging out in heaven with M.J, Mary Theresa (Wiacek), Margaret (Maloney), Helen (McCool), Rose (Rowley), Mabel (Rini-Arce), and Andrew. And missing him here are Eileen (Gribbon), John (Donna), Gilbert (Betty), Rita (Jack Dockery). Thanks to all who helped him along the way, God bless you all - we are so so grateful. Friends are invited to share their memories with his family during a visitation at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 296 Isabella Street, Pembroke on Monday April 30th from 2-8pm, or Tuesday May 1st from 9-10 am with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 11am, in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Petawawa followed by cremation. (Members of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Lorrain Council Pembroke will meet at the Funeral Home Monday at 7:30 p.m.) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation https://bit.ly/2r3wVrM , Pat was a great canvasser for Ruby’s team - in this way he continues to help.
