Obituary for Cameron Hall

Cameron Hall
Born and raised in Edmonton, Cam attended the Edmonton Temple Corps, where he was involved in musical sections as a Y.P. Bandmember, Songster and Bandsman (Euphonium).

After finishing high school, he worked in Medicine Hat, Pine Lake Camp, and as Youth Pastor at Edmonton Temple. He was commisioned as a Salvation Army Officer in 2000, serving at Scarborough Citadel, (where David was born) Orleans, and Lethbridge (where Ruthie was born). Subsequently he worked at Family and Community Services at 614 Regent Park, and then the Maxwell Meighen Men’s Shelter. He was an integral part of the 614 community, involved in Men’s Ministry, preaching, Leadership team, small groups.

He was an avid reader, fantasy/science fiction, who shared and engendered that love with David and Ruthie. He was a deep thinker, marked by compassion and empathy. He possessed a strong faith and was a student of the Bible. A loyal Edmonton sports fan, he was also a good friend, a good listener,a calming influence, who saw the best in others. He persevered, humour intact, to the end.

Survived by mother Daphne, children David, Ruthie, loving care-giver Allison, brothers Darrin (Cathy), Kevin (Pamela), Aunts Doreen, Coralie, Ruth, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and a multitude of friends and colleagues, pre-deceased by his father David.
His children were the joy of his life. He will be missed – well done faithful servant - “you will be with us always…”
